| Born in Staffordshire, Midlands (have lost most of the accent!) I moved to East Sussex in 1989. My original career was in hairdressing but in 1991 I decided on a change of career and started work as a dental nurse. I loved dental nursing from the start and found it very rewarding. I was in my first practice for 12 years and gained my certificate in dental nursing. I also had 2 children during this time. I have been with Durban Dental Centre as Practice Manager for 8 years and can honestly say I enjoy getting up for work every day. I regularly keep my hand in dental nursing and am GDC registered. On most parts I am there to assist Chris Wood to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice making sure the practice is up-to-date with all the rules, regulations & policies needed for the safe welfare of the patients and dental team. The team here are professional and work very hard but do like to have fun as well; no two days are ever the same! One of the biggest loves in my life is salsa dancing and I’ve been doing this for about 12 years. I also love reading, photography and computer graphic and design work. |
