Chris qualified from Guys Hospital London in 1978, and has continued with post graduation courses in orthodontics and Implants.
Although his clinical experience is wide, Chris has a special interest in holistic dentistry believing that the body is one unit and how you treat one aspect of that unit has an effect on other aspects he also has 35 years of experience treating orthodontic cases and placing dental implants.
At home, Chris likes spending time with his family and cats, cycling, walking, gardening and tinkering with cars (or anything mechanical!) Chris is also a keen pilot and spends most weekends in the air.
Dr Ahmet Bilginer

Ahmet qualified from the Royal London Hospital Dental School in London in 1996 and has worked as a general dental practitioner ever since. In 2008 after 12 years of working in London he moved to Kent with his family and joined Durban Dental Centre in Crowborough, East Sussex .
In October 2012 he opened Dr Ahmet Bilginer facial aesthetics clinic in Haringey, London. Ahmet now divides his time providing dentistry and facial aesthetics at Durban Dental Centre in Crowborough. He has successfully completed two years of a Masters Degree in Aesthetic Dentistry at Kings College London.This is an innovative programme offering dental practitioners with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high quality functional and long lasting dental restorations with optimal aesthetic value, including the placements of implants.
Ahmet also enjoys the orthodontic side of dentistry, using the new techniques of invisible aligners and removable appliances.
Dr Murshid Salman

Dr Salman qualified from Ajman University in Dubai in 2003 (DDS 2003), he then moved back to the UK and completed the British qualification exams in 2006.
Dr Salman has an exceptionally caring manner, and he believes that Dentistry is not only about treating patients’ teeth it is also about caring for one’s general wellbeing and respecting the individuality of each person. Thus, no time or effort should be saved in making sure a patient gets the highest quality of dentistry and care. Dr Salman has a special interest in root fillings, cosmetic and preventative dentistry and clear aligner orthodontics.
Ashley grew up in Kent and graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010 with a degree in Physiology. He was the recipient of one of only three awards given out to his Physiology cohort. He then entered the GPEP programme for dentistry at King’s College London (previously Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s) and graduated in 2014. After graduation he won the prestigious ‘John McLean’ award from the British Dental Association and also won the case of the year award for Central Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanary.
Ashley is working towards an MSc degree and has gained his membership to the Royal College Surgeons. His main clinical interest is in functional and aesthetic, adhesive dentistry. Ashley is also developing a keen interest in occlusion (how teeth meet) and dentures and is studying at the Dawson Academy.
Dr Mike Field

Mike grew up in Crowborough attending Beacon Community College.
He graduated from Liverpool university with a degree in Human anatomy. From there he went on to study dentistry at Newcastle university, graduating in 2015.
Mike is a kind and empathetic practitioner who takes time to ensure patients get the best quality of care. He is keen that patients take an active role in their dental care with a strong emphasis on prevention . Mike has a sympathetic approach to patients who find dentistry particularly stressful or simply need a little more time taken over their care.
Mike recently completed a course run by Kings College London in CBT for patients struggling with dental phobia. He is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and is able to offer sedation for patients who may need it to undergo difficult dental procedures.
Mike enjoys working with children and tries to make the experience as interactive and enjoyable as possible. Recently Mike has visited a number of local schools and nurseries to talk to children about looking after their teeth.
Mike is also able to offer facial treatments such a anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers
Anda Ponsford - Hygienist

Anda graduated from Gothenburg University, Sweden in 1997. She came to the UK in 1998, working as a Civilian Hygienist for the Ministry of Defence before moving to Kent and working for private dental practices from 2000. Anda has been with Durban Dental Centre for over 15 years
Anda likes to ensure patients of all ages are put at ease whilst building trust and rapport during appointments. Anda promotes proactive oral hygiene to patients and is a firm advocate of preventative care and treatment.
When not in the surgery, Anda spends time at home with her two young girls and in her spare time enjoys playing golf, keeping fit and skiing.
Sharon Marchesi - Hygienist

Sharon qualified at Guy’s Dental School in 1997 and has been working at Durban Dental Centre for over 15 years.
Sharon has a keen interest in Preventative Dentistry and will always tailor her oral health programmes to meet her patient’s needs and will ensure daily dental hygiene advice is provided.
Sharon attends many courses to keep up-to-date with the latest treatments and products available.
When not working, Sharon is kept very busy with her two active boys. She also enjoys keeping fit, watching rugby and cricket and getting together with family and friends.

I am a gentle and caring dental hygienist with 30 years experience of helping my patients achieve and maintain a lovely smile in a healthy mouth. I believe listening is a key part of any successful treatment.
I work full –time at Durban Dental Centre and love working with our dynamic and dedicated team.I attend many courses throughout the year to keep up-to date with current regulations, new products and treatments.
Away from work I enjoy painting, sewing, enameling, travelling, reading and spending time with family.

Having already attained a degree in fashion marketing from Nottingham Trent University, Kate began her career in dentistry as a dental nurse at Durban Dental Centre.
Taking the step up to dental hygiene, she qualified from Guy’s School of Dental Hygiene in 2006
Kate ensures that she puts our patients at ease so that they enjoy their experience in her care, Her expertise is in promoting oral health and giving you the skills and the confidence to make a real difference to the health of your mouth.
The majority of Kate’s spare time is taken up with her husband and three young children.

Christine was considering a career in various medical areas but was quite suddenly taken by teeth! Getting more involved, she was shocked by how often teeth were lost through gum-related problems.
Inspired to do something about this, she embarked on a Dental Hygiene course at Guy’s Hospital, London and qualified in 1979.
Christine has been working at Durban Dental Centre for over 30 years and attends many courses to keep up-to-date with current regulations and trends.
Away from Durban she enjoys being out in the fresh air walking her dog and spending time with family.
